The Mico University College recently came together to pack and prepare gifts aimed at bringing Christmas cheer to children in western Jamaica who were impacted by Hurricane Melissa. Students, staff, and volunteers transformed a shared space into a center of activity, carefully sorting and assembling donated items intended to uplift young spirits during a challenging recovery period. Tables were filled with thoughtfully selected gifts, educational items, and essentials, all prepared with care and purpose.

This effort reflects The Mico’s deep-rooted commitment to community and compassion, especially in moments of need. By focusing on children affected by the storm, the initiative goes beyond material support, offering encouragement, joy, and a sense of normalcy during the holiday season. Through teamwork and generosity, The Mico University College continues to demonstrate how service, empathy, and education work hand in hand to strengthen communities.
